Cheap Boat Transport

 

No rush. Anytime in the next week or so.  

20ft cheverton champ on trailer that looks to be a converted flatbed or caravan chassis the owner says it tows nicely. Will need straps and light board. Boat can be collected from 2pm on Tuesday 7th May.  

 

the brake is currently not functional but the trailer can be towed just not road legal.

Depending upon when arranged I will be available to lower the mast and help loading, as well as unloading. Upon arrival at destination, which is residential, ideally it will be craned off onto sleepers ready for fitting out The mast is approx. 30'  

 

the trailer is not braked .  

 

There is a slipway at both locations and there is also lifting equipment. The boat is on the water and I’d prefer it to be taken out using the slipway as it’s cheaper. It will be lifted off you at Hartlepool onto hard standing. I’ve spoken with Hartlepool marina and they are able to receive and lift the boat off you from 8th February 2019 . There is no trailer so you need to bring one.  

The yacht in on its own maker-supplied road trailer (4 wheel), which is roadworthy and serviced. The mast sits on top for transport and overhangs the boat by about 1m at each end. Measurements are as follows: length overall 10.2 metres, including mast overhangs. Length from tow hitch to back of the rudder 9.2 metres. Length from tow hitch to the rear end of the mast 10.2 metres. Overall height of load 3.2 metres. Combined weight of boat and trailer 2,600kg. The address given for collection is a private address in Anglesey and the delivery address is a private marina in Northern Ireland. It is assumed that the best route is via Holyhead to Dublin ferry and then by road north to destination. Cairnryan to Larne is another possibility. I am assuming that there are no customs issues with using the Dublin route, since the boat is UK VAT paid and would only be transiting Republic of Ireland for delivery to a UK address? I am looking for quotes inclusive of time, mileage and ferry costs please. Thank you.  

Collection from private road - a little tight. Boat plus boat trailer to be transported (trailer not used since early 1960s). Engine will be taken seperately.  

Trailer may not be roadworthy!  

Looking to have this boat moved the 450 miles up the motorway. Its sitting on a trailer however it can't be towed confidently as the wheels are undersized. It would go on a car transporter (transit type) or lorry no problem as trailer still rolls.  

 

 

The boat does not have a bottom on it yet, see photos.  

I don't necessairly need the boat trailer. Please feel free to bid on transporting the boat WITH or WITHOUT the trailer.  

 

The trailer may not be towable so it would be best to put the boat & trailer on a truck or flatbed trailer  

 

RIB has cover and is on trailer with light board ready for towing. No outboard etc.
