What are you shipping?

Company Bio

We are a small Motor Carrier, primarily hauling dry van and open deck freight. I would like to offer some advice to small shippers just getting started. Motor Carriers (excluding household goods movers) do not really care how you package your freight. One of the first things the Cargo Ins adjuster is going to want to know, is how was the item packaged? If you do not package your freight don't expect to collect when it is damaged. I mention this because I actually saw a question on here asking a shipper to attach freight to a pallet, to offer a lower rate. Unless you are trying to build challenges for a not reality tv show, you are assuming liability. Of you are taking advantage of a "motor carrier" that really doesn't know what they are doing yet. We are in the business of hauling freight, safely, and efficiently. We are not a packing and shipping company.
