I often go to Virginia or to Wisconsin from Upper Peninsula, Michigan where I reside in Ontonagon. I know through experience that shippers are difficult to find going to or from the Upper Peninsula. I am not a business, family-owned or otherwise. For that reason, my bids are usually way below others. However, I am usually attempting to fit shipments in with my own trips which I make for personal reasons. I attempt to pay for fuel expenditures through this means. I greatly appreciate schedule flexibility though if I can deliver the next day or so I will let the customer know. Usually I am carrying only one item. Prompt replies will facilitate low-cost deliveries. Because my trips usually have to do with personal business, it is unlikely that I can make similar offers a month later as my trips are infrequent.
