As the owner, I started Ampersand Transport after 30 years of driving a truck and seeing firsthand the challenges that face shippers and drivers day in and day out. I understand that to provide world class service to a shipper, you need great drivers with the right equipment & the right information & coordination. The later is where all too many companies fail as they don’t communicate effectively with their shippers, drivers & pick up & drop off locations. To be a truly effective 3PL a company needs to respect the partnership they have with their customers (shippers) and their drivers/carriers. Coordinating & verifying all the details of a load for your carriers ensures a smooth delivery for all eliminating dry runs & reducing wait times. This attracts and retains the best drivers at the best prices and thereby provides the best service & price to our shippers.
