a lot of answers are "it depends". the crate can be broken up into smaller pieces - or the pieces can be shipped uncrated. I need to make this economical. It is not yet an airplane. Just a bunch of fiberglass parts.  

Plane is dissassembled, wings and tail feathers already off, sitting on wheels. Must be familiar with moving, securing, and proper padding of aircraft components, wings, tail feathers, etc. Must have insurance.  

 

This aircraft will be dissambled . Wings off , horizontal tail off , has no engine . Wheels will be on wings , only nose gear will be attached to airframe  

Aircraft damaged, Tail surfaces will be removed for shipping by seller. Provider to protect from damage tail and rudder surfaces with blankets or oher covering. Items are aluminum. Wrap cabin area with tarp for prevention of weather damage. To be delivered to the Greater Kankakee Airport.

FLEXIBLE DATES! Hello, I need enclosed aircraft transport from Addison TX airport (5mi. NE of Dallas/Fort Worth Int'l Airport) to upstate NY (15mi. SE of Rochester). This aircraft is a salvage purchase which should be completed on March 01, 2012. Actual pickup and delivery dates are flexible, perhaps for up to two weeks thereafter. Just give me your tentative schedule so I can confirm with the airport storage facility. I am price conscious but need to book ASAP! Aircraft is same kind as shown in photos. Easily moved on it's own landing gear. Both wings will be removed from the aircraft and are each approx. 13'0"L x 4'7.5"W. Wings may be secured to the inside trailer wall, with leading edges down, using E-Track straps and appropriate padding. Aircraft Dimensions w/ wings removed: 46" max fuselage width, 7'10.5" max width at horizontal stabilizer (can be removed if necessary), 7'6" max height at rudder (nosewheel can be blocked up and tail lowered to approx. 6'0" height), 18'6.5" max length, 7'6.5" maingear max width. Note: Trailer shown as reference is 8.5' wide with 98" interior and door-opening width, 78" interior and door height, 24' long + 5' V-nose.  

Looking for a quote to move this aircraft and the associated small pars/tools/items shown next to it, from Homosassa Springs FL to Yelm, WA. Aircraft is fiberglass/foam construction, so care will be needed when handling the wings. Most of the parts should be transportable inside the cockpit.
