Flagging Rules

Thousands of Q&A messages, profiles and shipment descriptions are posted on uShip every week. Due to the high volume, we ask the uShip community to assist in helping us police the site. Please see our flagging policy below for more information about how you can help ensure the safety and integrity of the uShip site:

By clicking on the White flag at the end of a message that you feel is in violation, you will be notifying uShip of the offense. Please use care when flagging content – only throw a flag if the post is in direct violation of the rules.

When content is flagged, the White flag will turn to Yellow – this indicates that the post is under review. After the review is complete, the flag will either become Green , indicating there was no violation, or it will become Red , indicating that the post was in violation and was edited by uShip.

The following are considered flaggable offenses:

  • Email Address
  • Phone Number
  • Web Address
  • Fax Number
  • Mailing Address
  • Profanity
  • Non-inclusive quoting
  • Requesting contact information from members
  • Directing members off-site in attempt to circumvent the uShip site and fees
  • All comments referring to the 'deposit' as the shipping customer's 'uShip fee'
  • All comments unrelated to your own transportation services or shipping needs

Please keep in mind it is NOT a violation to include company names or personal names in a post.
